Responsible Financial Officer & Deputy Clerk
Salary: LC2 Scale 29 – 32 (£35,411 – £38,296 pro rata) (pay award pending)
Hours: Part-time 18.5 hours per week
Location: Based at the Evesham Town Council offices in Evesham, Worcestershire, but the role will involve spending some time at other Town Council facilities.
Evesham Town Council is seeking a well-organised, committed and community-focused individual to successfully undertake the combined role of Responsible Financial Officer / Deputy Clerk.
The role is part-time 18.5 hours per week. Arrangement of days and hours can be structured to suit the successful candidate. The role is based at our Evesham office and attendance at evening council meetings will be required. There will be occasional evening and weekend work for Town Council events. The council meets on Monday evenings.
This is a permanent position on a salary scale LC2 Scale 29 – 32 (£35,411 – £38,296) (pay award pending).
Benefits include 24 days holiday a year, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service. The council offers the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Applicants need to have relevant and proven financial and administrative skills and a flexible and forward-thinking approach. Experience of working in the Local Government sector is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
