Evesham Accession Proclamation Ceremony
Sunday 11 September 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm
A ceremony to proclaim the accession of the new King will be held at 4.30pm on Sunday 11th September in the Market Square.
The Evesham Proclamation is one of a series of Proclamations which will be held all across the country, starting with the Principal Proclamation which will be read at 11am on Saturday 10th September at St James’s Palace.
Over the course of Saturday and Sunday the Proclamation will cascade down through the nations and counties of the United Kingdom.
The Mayor of Evesham will receive the Proclamation from the High Sheriff of Worcestershire on Sunday and return to proclaim it in the centre of the town.
We hope you will be able to join us for what will be a historic occasion that has not taken place for over seventy years.
