Bands in the Park – Avonbank Band

Bands in the Park this week features Avonbank Band, for their second appearance in this summer’s schedule.
We are based in the historic market town of Evesham in Worcestershire where we have been making music for nearly 75 years. We seek to entertain the public whilst enjoying ourselves and maintaining a keen competitive edge. We play a wide range of music from familiar brass band repertoire, the Salvation Army catalogue as well as some more challenging competition pieces. We always aim to play to a high standard, constantly stretching ourselves and reaching new heights. In recent years we have performed well in the West Midlands Second Section and enjoyed some success at the Wychavon Festival of Brass. Avonbank continues to be ambitious with high hopes for the future.
Bands in the Park starts at approximately 2.30pm and runs for two hours until 4.30pm, with a short interval halfway through. Timings may be adjusted if necessary to suit unforeseen circumstances. Please note that this is an open air venue and all performances are subject to the weather.
